My New Web Site Announced
« on: June 22, 2019, 08:56:54 AM »
Hello everyone,

After over 10 years, I am back in the game

DISTANCE CHESS
https://distancechess.com/
https://www.distancechess.com/

Still very much under construction, but these are the main items up so far:

The Complete Correspondence Chess News (CCN) Archives (Issues 1-100) PDF Magazines and PGN files
Chess Quest Adventure II - Interactive Fiction - please add to the story!

Upcoming projects include the complete "Old" TCCMB Archives, 1998-2004,
and much more.

When you have the chance, please stop by and comment or add to the interactive story...

The new website looks great John.

I'm anxious to download some of the old TCCMB files for a reread.

Thanks, Grayling!

A lot of progress has been made on the web site since I last posted.

The old TCCMB archives (1998-2004) are all up (59,900+ postings (!) in 211 zipped archive files)...
The complete CCN archive - 100 issues with pgn files...
Lots more original and vintage content...

I invite everyone to check it out - feedback at the site is very much appreciated!

John

Hi John,

It looks like a great site. I will check it out. I feel 15 years younger now ;D

Thank you, Rob!

There is now quite a bit of material at my new site.

My latest project is blogging about my experiences in a Blitz CC Tournament hosted by the Red Hot Pawn server.
Format is 22 players, two games against each opponent, 1 day reflection time with only a 7 day total time bank reserve (! :o) which will probably make serious cc players cringe but I have found to be an interesting adventure...
